The Strictly Spoiler 2016 Competition Is Coming Soon

We’re well over halfway through the contestant announcements and I’ve been promising you more details on what I have in store for a competition this year. I’m still working out the final details so the full announcement will come in the next few weeks but I can reveal some information.

Last year there was one prize across the whole series of a £50 gift voucher. This series there should be about £500 worth of prizes to be given away! This really will be the biggest competition this site has ever run!

Earlier this year I asked you if you would prefer to see weekly, monthly or series long competitions. The vote was pretty split with 44% wanting weekly, 42% wanting monthly and 14% wanting series long. Given the closeness between weekly and monthly in that poll I’ve decided to accommodate both groups.

There will be weekly competitions throughout the 2016 series with an Amazon UK gift voucher prize. Anyone who wins one of these prizes during the course of a month will be entered into a draw at the end of the month to win a Kindle Fire tablet. There will also be occasional spot prizes on Facebook and Twitter so make sure you follow/like the profiles on those networks for more chances to win! Winning a spot prize will also earn an entry into the monthly draw to win the tablet.

Like last year the competition will be open to all UK and Republic of Ireland residents. Apologies to the few of you who visit the site from Europe or all around the world including as far reached as The USA and Australia but the gift voucher prizes will only be available to use in the UK or ROI.

The main focus of this competition will be to promote discussion about the spoiler and Strictly Come Dancing using the social features of this site, including the new and improved comments system, as well as the social networking profiles on Facebook and Twitter and you will receive entries simply for discussing Strictly and the spoiler here or on those social network profiles. There will also be an email entry route as I recognise that some of this site’s audience may not be users of social networks or this site’s comment system and I don’t want to exclude anyone from having a chance to win a prize this year.

Running a competition is one way that I try and give something back to everyone who visits this site and has helped turn something that was previously a bit of fun on my personal blog into the huge success that it has become.

More details including full details on the prizes and on how to enter coming soon so watch this space!
