2019 Strictly Pro News

The Strictly Spoiler has today learned which professional dancers the BBC are intending to pair with celebrities in the upcoming 2019 series of Strictly Come Dancing and which ones will be sidelined to only appear in the professional routines.

Early last month the BBC revealed 17 pros who would be involved in the 2019 series of Strictly and in a rather unusual move it is bad news for 16 of them as the only pro who will be partnered with a celebrity next series is veteran professional Anton Du Beke

Speaking exclusively to The Strictly Spoiler the BBC had this to say “Anton is one of our most popular pros having been with Strictly right from the start and it is an absolute travesty that he hasn’t won in all that time. Well 2019 is going to be his year because Anton will be partnering all 15 celebrities taking part this year. Be they Female, Male, Transgender or a Robot, Anton will partner them all and will partner one of them to victory in a glorious final with three identical showdances”

Anton Du Beke himself had this to say “FINALLY!!!!!!! 2019 is going to be my year to lift the Glitterball. Unless I get pipped at the post. Which knowing my luck I will. It’s going to be hard work having to teach 15 people to dance but I can teach them all the same routine each week right?”

Judge Craig Revel Horwood speaking to The Strictly Spoiler had this to say about the news “It is FAB-U-LOUS that Anton will be partnering all the celebrities this series. My travelling bag to the studio will be a lot lighter as I don’t need to pack a paddle higher than a 3”

2019 Professional Dancers Revealed

The BBC in the early hours of this morning revealed the professional dancers who will be taking part in the 2019 series of Strictly Come Dancing. Barring the departure of Pasha announced a few weeks ago there isn’t really any other major changes to speak of with the following pros all returning from previous series

AJ Pritchard, Aljaž Škorjanec, Amy Dowden, Anton Du Beke, Dianne Buswell, Giovanni Pernice, Gorka Marquez, Graziano Di Prima, Janette Manrara, Johannes Radebe, Karen Clifton, Katya Jones, Kevin Clifton, Luba Mushtuk, Nadiya Bychkova, Neil Jones and Oti Mabuse all return as professionals in 2019 although with 17 pros announced it is probable that not all of them will be paired with a celebrity as usually 15 celebrities take part in a series.

Speaking to the BBC Sarah James, Executive Producer, BBC Studios had this to say about the line up: “We are delighted that this year’s line-up of professional dancers for Strictly Come Dancing is full of familiar faces and fan favourites. This amazing cast of incredibly talented world class professional dancers have provided Strictly with some of its most memorable moments over the years and with more exciting announcements to come, plus world renowned choreographer Jason Gilkison also returning to the team, Strictly 2019 promises to continue to wow viewers with unforgettable performances as we welcome this dazzling line up of pros back to the ballroom.”
