Strictly Come Dancing 2021 – Week 3 (Movie Week) Discussion/Poll

Strictly is taking its annual trip to the movies but who was a box office smash and who is a flop?

You can let me know your thoughts about that or anything else to do with tonight’s show right here in the comments or over on Facebook or Twitter. Each time you get involved in the discussion on the social networks you earn an entry into this year’s huge competition where one of you will be winning a £500 voucher. But only if you are brave enough to turn down the regular weekly prize.

As always I will be opening a poll right here once everyone has danced so watch out for that. You’ll be able to tell me which 3 couples got your vote with The BBC.

This poll is no longer accepting votes

Week 3 - Who got your vote (select up to 3)

Last week providing this website for you to view the spoiler cost me over £130 in 24 hours. You can help me out with these costs by making a one time donation using THIS LINK or the button below. Please only do so if you can afford to do so and there is no obligation on anyone to help me out this way.

Or for the truly impatient amongst you why not join the crew on Patreon. For less than the price of a coffee a month you gain access to the spoiler in an ad free form and also will gain access to the results of the exit poll providing the earliest indication as to how the dance off has gone each week minutes after The BBC vote closes and hours before the spoiler or any other spoiler source.

Normally I’d be plugging energy switches to Octopus Energy here. However with the state of the energy market, many comparison sites advising people not to switch and even Octopus Energy themselves suggesting many people would be better to stay put right now I will not be including these on future posts going forward until things stabilise. Energy switches were a decent source of support for me last series and losing them is a big blow and I would ask people to consider supporting me in one of the other ways above or even doing things as simple as liking/sharing my posts on social networks or getting involved in the discussion will help no end too.

Once again we may be dependant on my own sources who can provide me a full and complete spoiler on Sunday Morning so it’s possible we may not get a confirmed spoiler tonight however if one comes in I will bring it to you as soon as I possibly can. In the event it is not until tomorrow morning please, please, please do not bombard me with messages on the social networks asking if I’ve heard anything. If nothing has been posted here, the answer is no and I receive hundreds of notifications on the social networks at a weekend so your messages will probably get lost in the noise

Firstly apologies for the lateness of this post (and the complete absence last week). It’s been a hectic week or so as my fiancée has been moving her stuff in. Complaints to the BBC

What do you think of this week’s choices? As always you can let me know your thoughts about that or anything else to do with Strictly right here in the comments section or over on Facebook or Twitter. Each time you get involved in the discussion on the social networks you earn an entry into the biggest competition I have ever run with a whopping £500 voucher up for grabs for one lucky winner this series. Full details of the competition can be found here. Twitter users also look out for a spot prize currently up for grabs to celebrate hitting 40k followers which should happen in the next few days.

You can still vote in this week’s poll and tell me who got your vote with The BBC. You can select up to 3 options!

Week 2 - Who got your vote (select up to 3)

Last year hosting was costing me well over £500 a month and for last weekend my costs for the servers were £130. You can help me out with these costs by making a one time donation using THIS LINK or the button below. Please only do so if you can afford to do so and there is no obligation on anyone to help me out this way.

Or why not join the crew on Patreon. For less than the price of a coffee a month you gain access to the spoiler in an ad free form and also will gain access to the results of the exit poll providing the earliest indication as to how the dance off has gone each week minutes after The BBC vote closes and hours before the spoiler or any other spoiler source.

Or you can support me and earn yourselves £50 in the bargain by checking your energy prices and switching to Octopus Energy. Octopus have cheap green renewable energy, are a Which recommended supplier and are routinely cheaper than the energy price cap that many suppliers set their prices based on. The energy market is in turmoil at the moment with prices sky rocketing and the energy price cap due to rise by about £150. Dirt cheap deals may be gone and most suppliers are now setting their prices at the price cap but the £50 referral bonus from Octopus may make them more attractive than your current supplier so they are definitely worth a look though with the way the energy market currently is please make sure a switch is right for you before you do it. Octopus also do not lock you in (even on their fixed tariffs) so you would be free to leave again if/when the market settles down

Jason Bell Eliminated From Strictly Come Dancing 2020

As revealed in last night’s mole free Strictly Spoiler (more on that later) Jason and Luba have been eliminated after losing in the dance off to Nicola and Katya.

Complaints to The BBC

You can relive their Salsa from week 2 in the video below:

Did the right couple leave? As always you can let me know your thoughts about that or anything else to do with tonight’s not live results show right here in the comments or over on Facebook/Twitter.

You can still vote in this week’s poll and tell me who got your votes/who your favourites were. Like always you can select up to 3 options. Unless you are a robot. Then you can select zero options!

Strictly 2020 Week 3 (Movie Week) - Who got your vote? (choose up to 3)

I just want to take a quick moment to talk about the spoiler this weekend. As most of you know I’ve been working on a backup plan to source and deliver a spoiler through the off season. I trialled it last weekend and it worked but this was the first weekend we had to go live with it due to the new lockdown in England getting rid of the Strictly audience. This was a big risk, a lot of people said it couldn’t be done and I’ve had many people basically saying that I was guessing the results even though it was a bit more scientific than that as I used precisely the same method The BBC do to generate their results.

The last two weeks however have shown that it can be done, I can predict the public vote accurately or at least accurately enough to generate a correct bottom two which is what matters to us. In addition I now have some further sources that I cant elaborate on but they will allow me to confirm or correct the spoiler my polls have generated over the course of the weekend.

We’ve got 3 more weeks of this and my intention at the moment is to basically do what happened this weekend which is:

  1. A spoiler based on my polls will be posted on a Saturday night. This will come with all the usual disclaimers that it has been generated using poll data may not be accurate as it is subject to further confirmation
  2. Once that confirmation is received the spoiler will either be confirmed or corrected. This will likely happen at some point Sunday morning

Those of you who must know ASAP are probably best checking the site Saturday night like normal but also checking again Sunday when I have confirmation. Also follow me on Facebook or Twitter as I will keep those networks apprised as to the latest developments as they happen. If accuracy is your bag you are best checking some time around Sunday lunch time by which point I should have had confirmation of the results.

These are unprecedented times but I’ve spent the off season preparing for them, I am more than ready, I continue to be able to deliver the results you crave at an acceptable reliability level in these covid times even without audience moles and will hopefully be able to keep operating throughout when many other sources are understandably struggling this year and at the moment it does seem from the other sources that all eyes are on me right now.

Speaking of operating providing this site is still going to cost me close to £1000 this series. I always stress this on the donation links but it is more important than ever in 2020 that you only consider helping me out with these costs if you can afford to do so. I would not want to cause anyone else hardship because they chose to help me out. However all donations are as ever gratefully received. You can make a one time donation by clicking on THIS LINK or using the button below:

Also new for 2020 you can make a regular donation by becoming a patreon. Donations on patreon start at just the price of a coffee a month and if the patreon page takes off I can start looking at patreon exclusive content/rewards.

There’s also ways you can help me out for free and even make some money yourself by doing so. One way I’ve been plugging on social media a lot these last few weeks is by checking your energy prices and earning yourselves £50 in the bargain by switching using my magic link (you must complete the switch using the link and not just get a quote which you come back to later). Octopus energy have 100% green electricity, are a Which recommended supplier and were one of the few suppliers to maintain a full telephone service during the pandemic. They’re a different supplier to the one I was recommending last series and are definitely worth a look as we head into the colder months.

Switching energy suppliers is quick (it takes about 2 minutes to sign up from my link and usually about 3 weeks for the process to complete), there is no interruption to your energy supply, no engineers have to visit and you don’t need to change you meters (unless you sign up to a smart tariff and don’t have a compatible meter). I get £50 from every switch so this does help me out quite a bit.

Alternatively you can help me out by doing things as simple as liking all my content, sharing it and getting involved in the discussions on the social networks. This all helps to increase my visibility and get me noticed on those networks and is also appreciated!
