Strictly Come Dancing 2019 – Week 7 Spoilers

It’s week SEVEEEEERRRRRRRNNNNN!!!! And the 9 remaining couples have their sights firmly fixed on Blackpool in two weeks time. But with 2 eliminations still to go it’s safe to say some of them will not need a bucket and spade. But who has been eliminated I hear you ask? I can reveal that…….

Mike and Viscountess Emma had to dance off. The judges unanimously saved Mike. Viscountess Emma was eliminated!

Complaints to the BBC.

This week’s spoiler has come from an audience mole through the spoiler groups I work with and should be accurate.

What do you think of the results? As always you can let me know right here in the comments section or over on Facebook or Twitter.

Each time you get involved in the discussion you earn an entry into this month’s prize draw to win an iPad. The first month’s draw was due to take place yesterday but I grossly underestimated the number of entries I would get and it’s taking me a bit longer to collate them all. I will be in touch with one of you in the coming days to make your Christmas with a brand new shiny iPad!

Talking of winning don’t forget that if you can spot the hidden password in this spoiler post and reply to either of the competition posts on Facebook or Twitter with the password and #StrictlySpoilerComp you could win a £50 Amazon UK Voucher. Entries close at the start of tomorrow’s not live results show!

You can still vote in this week’s poll and tell me who your favourites were (hopefully none of the dance off couples). As always you can pick up to 3 options!

  1. Sorry to see Emma go, but not surprised. She didn’t like the dance and it showed, Mike got lucky as his dance tonight suited him.
Think most weeks this series the dances have defeated the contestants if that makes sense? No one has left after dancing at their best. Cha cha , samba and salsa have much to answer for.
    I liked Emma so elegant,

  2. I don’t get why Mike is being saved every week?!? He’s a terrible dancer and needs to go. They need to bring in a rule so if you are in the dance off 3 times, you automatically get eliminated.

  3. But if you saw the judges on Jonathan Ross show last week Craig said it would be good to see Mike get to Blackpool ‘at least’ for the entertainment value and Shirley agreed. So guess Mike is in till Blackpool guaranteed – for the entertainment value. Good dancers will be eliminated to allow this I suppose?

    1. Except he’s not particularly entertaining though, is he? It’s really just an admission by Craig and Head Judge Shirley that they have their favourites who they want to see at Blackpool, even if it means throwing better dancers under the bus. If they really wanted a clown in the show at Blackpool, they’ve already got Chris; even he’s a better hoofer than the BBC’s Mike Bushell.

  4. I’m shocked to hear the judges have saved Mike – yet again!! ? Although I’m not a fan of Viscountess Emma, she has much more grace and elegance than he does, for starters! She IS pretty full of herself though!?

  5. Mike was the better dancer in the dance off. He was in sync and gave a better performance. The judges base their vote on the dance off. Emma’s performance was lacklustre. She never puts any passion into anything. Grace is not the only thing that makes a good dancer.

      1. Yes, I was lucky enough to get through in the audience ticket draw after years of trying.

He had better technique for the dance he was doing and made no mistakes which is what the judges asked of him. Katya falling off his back was not his fault and he recovered well from it. Katya even started crying when they finished because she knew she’d messed up.

Emma dances all her dances with the same expression. It was supposed to be a samba but there was no “heat”. It was too lady like. The judges already said there was a problem with her technique. It’s not like she could have corrected that between her first dance and dance off. So based on the dance off alone (which is what the judges are supposed to base it on) they chose Mike.

  6. It seems like there shouldn’t have been an elimination this week after Will withdrew from the competition. If there continues to be an elimination every week, there will only be 3 contestants in the final. I wonder if there’s going to be a future designated week where no one gets the chop.

  7. Mike saved. Again well I am disappointed but not surprised sorry Mike but it’s a farce I think I will stop watching as it seems to be a fix I think the one in the bottom should go ie the once who has the lowest combined vote should go n I t down to the judges they have had there say and points have been awarded sorry to see Emma go ….

  8. The week-on-week evidence is building that the result is contrived, backed up by last week’s comments on the Jonathan Ross show. But to hold the judges accountable for this is probably wrong; I expect they have been told by the producers what they want for the ‘Big Blackpool Show’, and the judges are expected to comply.

I suppose it makes a mockery of the show and I for one am rapidly losing interest. But when the BBC has become so reliant on its success can we blame them for manipulating the result? Does anyone really think the BBC would leave the fate of their centre-piece to chance?

  9. I only watch Strictly Come Dancing when I visit my family, so I wasn’t clear how it was going or who was participating. Having walked in at the start of the dance off, this show is blatantly rigged. Between the two competing in the knock-out round this evening, Emma blatantly was the better of the 2 in the knock-out round, and yet ALL the judges voted for Mike Bushell, whose act had flaws including his professional partner falling off his back. I’m not sure what the deal is on this show, but having found out Mike is a BBC sportscaster, I can only assume it’s because the BBC wants to keep their BBC representative in the show… I can’t work why, but that was a disgusting show of favouritism. What’s the point in watching a competition that’s rigged? I’ll go back to Netflix thanks.
