Strictly Come Dancing 2014 Winner Caroline Flack has spoken about media reports that she has had previous dance training.
Speaking at a Press Conference following the Live Final she explained:
“I trained as a dancer when I was a teenager at a stage school that was more drama and singing. That was 16 years ago when I did my last dance class.”
“If I was trained as a dancer then I probably would have been a dancer and I’m not. I don’t think I had more dance training or experience than anyone else. Especially popstars who are used to performing all the time. I’m a presenter. I’d never trained in ballroom or Latin.”
Her partner Pasha Kovalev added that previous dance experience often does not play a major part in ballroom success.
