Melvin Odoom Eliminated From Strictly Come Dancing 2016

In what has been one of the most controversial not live results shows in the entire history of Strictly, Melvin and Janette have been eliminated after Anastacia and Brendan were unable participate in the Dance Off due to injury. The production team made the decision to revert to the public vote rather than have Anastacia withdraw from the competition due to injury and as a result Melvin and Janette were eliminated.

Were the BBC right to revert to the public vote? Let me know your thoughts in the comments section or over on Facebook and Twitter or by voting in the poll below. You can also vote and tell me who your week 2 favourites were at the bottom of this post.

Strictly Come Dancing 2016 – Week 2 Spoilers

Apologies (again) to those of you who had site issues. I will once again be looking at a new hosting solution hopefully one that can cope with you lot constantly refreshing the site at 10pm

Here we are then with the first results spoiler of 2016. It’s been a busy 10 months here at the home of The Strictly Spoiler. The biggest competition this site has ever run launched last week (more on that later in this post) and the site has moved to a new web host which seems to have done nothing even at max settings so yay I’m looking for another new host! But you haven’t come here to hear about all that. You want to know who will be leaving in tomorrow night’s not live results show. Never fear because the The Strictly Spoiler is here to tell you. So here are the results:

Melvin and Anastacia had to dance off. Anastacia was unable to dance off due to injury and so they reverted to the public vote. Melvin had the lowest public vote and was eliminated. Bizarre sequence of events I know. Were the BBC right to do this? Let me know in the poll below:

This week’s spoiler has come via an audience mole through my usual sources and should be accurate.

Strictly Come Dancing 2016 – Week 2 Discussion/Poll

Here we are then, its the 2nd week of Strictly Come Dancing 2016 and the 1st elimination and result spoiler is a matter of hours away. But fear not there is plenty right here for you to do to pass the time while we wait for the spoiler.

The biggest competition this site has ever run kicked off last week. With approximately £500 worth of prizes to be given away and prizes every week this is far bigger than the 2015 competition. You can find more details about the competition and the various ways you can enter by checking the competition post here. This week’s winner has been contacted and will be announced on the spoiler post later tonight.

Why not join the discussion right here on this post or over on Facebook or Twitter and tell me what you thought of tonight’s show. Each time you do, you earn an entry into the competition and it could be you winning a £20 voucher this time next week. Remember to tag @davejthorp AND include the hashtag #StrictlySpoiler on Twitter for your entry to count! If you are commenting on this site, and why wouldn’t you as it gains you entries into the competition, then please note the comments system has changed from last year and you will have to re-register in order to comment on a post! The new and improved comments system has more social features, the ability to up and down vote comments and will also take some strain off my web server as the comments are hosted elsewhere.

Don’t forget to vote in this week’s poll and tell me who your week 2 favourites were. The poll will open below once all the couples have danced this week

Please remember to give this post some love using all the buttons for all the popular social networks and Google+ above and below. Your likes and shares help to spread the word about The Strictly Spoiler and are really appreciated. Don’t forget you can follow me on Twitter or like The Strictly Spoiler on Facebook to keep up with all things Strictly Spoiler and enter Facebook/Twitter exclusive competitions. The 2nd Twitter Spot Prize will launch tonight so be sure to check out Twitter for more details on what you need to do!
