The movies have been left behind and now our 14 remaining couples are all dancing to make it into week 4.
Just need to do a bit of housekeeping based on some comments last week. Last weekend there was a bug in my poll software which affected the results visibility when it was launched. That should be fixed now so the poll should go more smoothly this week. Many of you also tried to register multiple votes because the voting interface remained after you submitted. That shouldn’t be a problem this week but if it is the top of the poll will feedback whether your vote registered or why it hasn’t if it’s rejected.
Also a small number of you had issues viewing the spoiler due to the offerwall kicking in. This should only kick in when you have viewed the site a certain number of times in a short space of time (ie refreshing it for the spoiler though I appreciate with last week’s late spoiler more of you would have hit it). Once it does you need to view the ad, wait for the yellow bar at the top to fill and it should say “reward granted”. You can then dismiss it and it wont happen again (on that device) for around a week. I’ve tweaked a few settings, made the messaging clearer and I don’t expect this week’s spoiler to be as late as last week which will have made more people hit the offerwall. Few people thought this was new but offerwall has been on the site for about 4 years!
I also had a few people believing I was paywalling the spoiler because it was late last week and hadn’t been shared. That is something I would never do. There are subscription options but they are exactly that…. OPTIONS. Plus they aren’t new and have been running since 2021 though they have been rebranded plus launched on more platforms, including just this week Instagram. See below for details of the new option on Instagram!
Finally I get a lot of messages on my socials asking if I’ve heard yet. These invariably get buried between tons of notifications I get on a weekend. There is a way you can check if I’ve heard. If I’ve posted the spoiler I have heard. If I haven’t, I haven’t!
With the housekeeping done, who deserves a place in week 4? You can let me know your thoughts over on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Threads or BlueSky.! Each time you get involved in the discussion you earn a chance to win either a £20 Amazon UK voucher or one of three Strictly Spoiler Plus subscriptions I have to give away each week. You can find all the competition details including the boring terms and conditions over on this link. Make sure you are following me across all networks, and please give the posts a like and a share to help get the word out.
Once the dancing has finished you can vote in this week’s poll below and tell me who got your vote. You can select 3 options. If you voted for more than 3 please select the 3 who got most of your votes or your favourite 3! Poll results will be available by 11pm or when the spoiler comes in (whichever is earlier)
Operating this website independently is incredibly expensive, with hosting bills easily exceeding £1000 per month during the main series. If you want to help cover these costs or just say thanks for the early results, you can do so using the donation button below or this link. Please only donate if you can comfortably afford to do so!
Want the VIP Experience? Subscribe to Strictly Spoiler Plus on Patreon for an entirely ad-free spoiler and exclusive access to the exit poll results—where I plug the raw numbers into the scoring system to indicate exactly how the weekend went. Upgrade to the VIP tier, and you will also get a personal shoutout on every single spoiler post! (Note: If using an Apple device, please sign up via your mobile browser or a computer rather than the Patreon app to avoid extra Apple processing fees and payout delays).
Alternatively, join the Strictly Spoiler Core plan on Facebook to get the same exit poll results within minutes of the BBC vote closing, plus a unique subscriber badge on all your Facebook comments.
New for this weekend you can also now join Strictly Spoiler Core on Instagram. As with Facebook you gain the exit poll results within minutes of the BBC vote closing and the first 5 subscribers will save 50% for the lifetime of their subscription. I plan to launch a broadcast channel on Instagram as an added incentive which will alert you when the spoiler is in and share the link, though I may not have that set up this weekend but it will be in place ready for week 4. You can subscribe via the subscribe button on my profile!
