Strictly Come Dancing 2016 – Week 8 Discussion/Poll

It’s week 8 and Blackpool is in sight. But before the 8 remaining couples can head off to the bright lights of Blackpool they have to survive one more week.

Who deserves a pass to the tower? And who shouldn’t bother packing their bucket and spade? You can let me know your thoughts on that or anything else to do with this week’s Strictly right here in the comments section or by heading on over to Facebook or Twitter (please remember to tag @davejthorp and include #StrictlySpoiler on Twitter)

Each time you join the discussion you earn an entry into the weekly prize draw to win a £20 amazon UK voucher. And you could even win a Kindle Fire Tablet at the end of the month. Full details about the competition and all the ways you can get involved can be found here.

Once all the couples have danced tonight a poll will open for you to tell me who your favourites are. This series is wide open and different couples have been winning most weeks unlike last series where one couple dominated the polls. Could your favourite top the poll this week? Only if you vote in the poll for them!

Please also give this post some love using the buttons for all major social networks and Google+ above and below. Your likes and shares are important, really help me out and help to spread the word about The Strictly Spoiler.

As normal the spoiler should be incoming some time after 10pm. Can I please stress that you don’t need to ask me if I’ve heard anything yet. The very second I get the news it will be posted to this site. Don’t forget you can also like The Strictly Spoiler on Facebook or Follow Me On Twitter if you would like to be alerted to when the spoiler is posted. As soon as the spoiler is posted here, alerts are automatically sent to both those social networks!

Strictly Come Dancing 2016 – Christmas Special Lineup

The BBC last night revealed the 6 participants to be participating in this year’s Christmas Special and they are all Ghosts of Strictly Past. So just who is participating? Here is the list:

Denise Lewis – Denise was a runner up to Jill Halfpenny way back in series 2 of Strictly

Ainsley Harriot – Ainsley was one of last year’s “comedy” contestants before being eliminated in week 5

Pamela Stephenson – Pamela has the honour of being the oldest contestant to make the final which she did in the 2010 series eventually finishing in 3rd

Gethin Jones – These days he is a reporter on It Takes Two but Gethin also took part in the 2007 series taking 3rd place

Frankie Bridge – Frankie was a runner up in the 2014 series losing out on the glitterball to Caroline Flack

Melvin Odoom – First to be eliminated this series after losing out in one of the most controversial Strictly moments ever when he was eliminated on public vote alone without a chance to save himself after Anastacia was unable to Dance Off, Melvin has now been given a 2nd chance to show the public his moves

Which pros the participants will be partnered with and the dances they will be performing are still to be announced.

What do you think of the lineup. You can as always let me know in the comments section or over on Facebook and Twitter (remember to tag @davejthorp and include #StrictlySpoiler on Twitter).
