Strictly Come Dancing 2014 Finalist – Frankie Bridge

Time for part three of a 4 part series in advance of the live final where I take a look at each of the four finalists and their performance so far in Strictly. In this part, it’s the turn of Frankie Bridge.

Best Dance

Frankie has scored 38 points on two occasions. The first time was in week 9 with her Viennese Waltz (9,9,10,10). The second time was in last weeks Semi Final with her Argentine Tango (9,9,10,10).

Worst Dance

It feels very strange to have a worst dance section here. Frankie’s lowest score was achieved on 2 occasions when she scored the abysmal score of 30. What was she thinking?

The first was all the way back in week one with her waltz (7,7,8,8) and even though this was one of her worst dances going off the scores she still topped the leaderboard that week. The second was her Charleston the following week in week 2 (7,7,8,8). That week she missed out on the top spot to Pixie Lott!

Average Score

Again ignoring pointless elements such as the waltzathon and Donny Osmond, Frankie has amassed a total of 445 points across 13 dances making for an average score per dance of 34.2. The only celebrity with a higher average score this series was Pixie Lott who was eliminated two weeks ago.

Number Of Times In The Dance Off

Frankie is the only contestant this series to have never faced the dance off, nor has her professional partner Kevin from Grimsby across his two series

Odds of Winning

Frankie is currently 13/8 second favourite with SkyBet to lift the glitterball and on paper is the person most likely to win if clear favourite Caroline Flack doesn’t win. Frankie’s public vote appears to be quite strong as she has never been in the dance off and has been lifted out of the danger zone on a couple of occasions on weeks when she has been weak but the others strong.

The poll on this site has just 12% thinking she should win and 7% thinking she will.

Tune in this afternoon for the final part on Mark Wright and during the live final tonight for something special

Strictly Come Dancing 2014 Finalist – Simon Webbe

Time for part two of a 4 part series in advance of the live final where I take a look at each of the four finalists and their performance so far in Strictly. In this part, it’s the turn of Simon Webbe.

Best Dance

Simon has hit the dizzy heights of scoring 38 on no less than 3 occasions. The first was his Argentine Tango in week 8 in Blackpool (8,10,10,10). Followed by his Waltz in week 10 (9,10,10,9). Finally his Foxtrot in last weeks Semi Final (9,10,10,9)

Worst Dance

Simon’s worse dance was his Rumba from week 3, a dance the male celebrities often struggle with. Discounting Donny Osmond, Simon scored 23 points for this dance (4,6,6,7)

Average Score

Discounting the waltzathon and once again Donny, Simon has amassed a total of 412 points over 13 dances which makes for an average score of 31.7

Number Of Times In The Dance Off

Simon has survived 3 dances offs. The first was after his Rumba (above) in week 3 against Jennifer Gibney where all 5 judges voted to save Simon. The second was in week 5 after his Viennese Waltz which scored 28 (7,7,7,7). Simon danced off against Thom Evans and made it through after Len’s casting vote saved him over Thom. Simon’s final dance off was in week 11  following his American Smooth which scored 35 (8,9,9,9) and the Waltzathon in which he came 3rd. Simon danced off against Pixie Lott and in one of the more controversial dance off results was again saved by Len’s casting vote which may have been more down to Trent answering back to Len following Pixie and Trent’s dance in the main show as opposed to the actual Dance Off.

Odds of Winning

Simon is currently a 10-1 shot on SkyBet which seems fair since he doesn’t appear to have enough public backing to win the series given his position in the dance off 3 times a feat only matched by other finalists Mark and Karen and Sunetra and Brendan who were eliminated in week 10. A poll carried out on this site at time of writing shows that 33% of voters think he should win but just 23% think he actually will!

Tune in tomorrow for the remaining 2 finalists

Strictly Come Dancing 2014 Finalist – Caroline Flack

Time for part one of a 4 part series in advance of the live final where I take a look at each of the four finalists and their performance so far in Strictly. Starting with Caroline Flack

Best Dance

Caroline’s best dance came in the semi final last week when she became the first contestant this series to score a perfect 40 (10,10,10,10) from the judges and the first dance in which Craig, who was donning an evil beard, dusted off the cobwebs on his 10 paddle

Worst Dance

We have to go way back to week 1 for Caroline’s worse dance which was a Cha Cha Cha and scored 27 points (6,7,7,7) with the judges. Still a very respectable score of course especially for week 1

Average Score

Discounting both the waltzathon and Donny Osmond neither of which count for anything Caroline has amassed a score of 442 over 13 dances which makes for an average score of 34.0

Number Of Times In The Dance Off

Caroline was in the dance off in week 7 after her waltz which scored 31 with the judges (7,8,8,8). She was in the dance off against Alison Hammond but was unanimously saved by the judges

Odds of Winning

Caroline is currently the bookies favourite with odds of 8/13 on SkyBet. A poll carried out on this site at time of writing shows that 33% of voters think she should win but a whopping 69% think that she will win!

Tune in later today for a look at Simon Webbe, with the other two finalists coming tomorrow.
