Strictly Come Dancing 2022 – Week 5 (Centenary) Discussion/Poll

It’s been an odd week to say the least. The BBC turns 100 and is celebrating its centenary but The Strictly Spoiler has been hitting the media once again and even got hijacked 100m away from his home by the Daily Mail (and as such is in a secret underground bunker or more accurately a hotel for a weekend away this week) but anyway we’re here to talk about Strictly and not completely inappropriate stalker like behaviour from a newspaper.

You can let me know your thoughts about Strictly, The Daily Fail or anything else to do with tonight’s show right here in the comments section or over on Facebook, Twitter or new for 2022 Instagram. Each time you get involved with the discussion over on the social networks you earn an entry into the competition to win a £20 Amazon UK voucher. There will be a bonus chance to win on the spoiler post when that lands so keep an eye out for the hidden password for your chance to win!

A poll will open right here once all the couples have danced so don’t forget to check back for that later tonight.

This poll is no longer accepting votes

Week 5 - Who got your vote (select up to 3)

In 2021 I spent over £3k in hosting costs to keep this site up at peak times which is a ludicrous amount at the best of times never mind during a cost of living crisis! If you want to help me out with these costs (or just want to buy me a much needed beer after the last week or so) with a one time donation you can do so using THIS LINK or the button below. Please only do so if you can afford to do so especially during this cost of living crisis and there is no obligation on anyone to help me out this way.

Or why not join the crew on patreon? Patreon subscribers gain exclusive access to the results of the exit poll each week. The earliest indication as to how the public vote has gone providing a possible spoiler hours before any other source as soon as The BBC vote closes each week. Plus the spoiler will be shared to patreon subscribers free of other monetisation in an ad free form! All for less than the price of a coffee each month!

Strictly Come Dancing 2022 – Week 5 (Centenary Week) Songs/Dances

The BBC has turned 100 and our 12 remaining couples will be dancing in what will be a celebration of all things BBC. It’s been a stressful day for me for reasons you can see on Facebook or Twitter but the show must go on and the songs/dances have been announced. So here they are……

  • Ellie S and Nikita: Paso Doble to Montagues and Capulets, celebrating The Apprentice
  • Ellie T and Johannes: Tango to Casualty Theme Tune, celebrating Casualty
  • Fleur and Vito: Jive to Waterloo by ABBA, celebrating Eurovision
  • Helen and Gorka: Charleston to Blue Peter Theme Tune, celebrating Blue Peter
  • Jayde and Karen: Charleston to The Ballad of Barry and Freda (Let’s Do It) by Victoria Wood, celebrating BBC Comedy
  • Kym and Graziano: Quickstep to Ballroom Blitz by Sweet, celebrating Come Dancing
  • Molly and Carlos: Couples’ Choice to Grange Hill Theme Tune, celebrating BBC Children’s Programming
  • Hamza and Jowita: Quickstep to On Top of the World by Imagine Dragons, celebrating BBC Nature Programming
  • James and Amy: Foxtrot to EastEnders Theme Tune, celebrating EastEnders
  • Tony and Katya: Cha Cha Cha to Grandstand Theme Tune, celebrating BBC Sport
  • Tyler and Dianne: Tango to Doctor Who Theme Tune, celebrating Doctor Who
  • Will and Nancy: Viennese Waltz to Line of Duty End Titles, celebrating Drama

Complaints to the BBC (and others)

What do you think of the song choices? As always you can let me know your thoughts over on the social networks or right here in the comments section. By joining the discussion on the socials you earn an entry into the competition to win a £20 Amazon UK Voucher

Do I provide a useful service. In 2021 I spent over £3k in hosting costs to keep this site up at peak times which is a ludicrous amount at the best of times never mind during a cost of living crisis where my advertising revenue for October is down 40% on 2021 meaning I have much less income to meet the hosting costs than before! If you want to help me out with these costs (or buy me a much needed pint) with a one time donation you can do so using THIS LINK or the button below. Please only do so if you can afford to do so especially during this cost of living crisis and there is no obligation on anyone to help me out this way.

Or why not join the crew on patreon? Patreon subscribers gain exclusive access to the results of the exit poll each week. Plus the spoiler will be shared to patreon subscribers free of other monetisation in an ad free form! All for less than the price of a coffee each month! Billing has been changed on Patreon. Due to a billing change with Patreon anyone who signs up from 11/10/22 will be billed on the day of sign up and then on the same day every month beyond that. Prior subscribers will continue to be billed on the 1st of each month as before.

Matt Goss Eliminated From Strictly Come Dancing 2022

As revealed in last night’s Strictly Spoiler, Matt and Nadiya (?) have been eliminated after losing in the Dance Off to Kym and Graziano.

Complaints to the BBC!

You can relive their Samba from week 2 in the video below:

I feel like I know the answer to this question but I am contractually obliged to ask it anyway…… Did the right couple leave? You can let me know your thoughts about that or anything else to do with tonight’s show right here in the comments section or over on Facebook, Twitter or new for 2022 Instagram. Each time you get involved with the discussion over on the social networks you earn an entry into the competition to win a £20 Amazon UK voucher

You can still vote in this week’s poll and tell me who got your vote this week
