Complaints to the BBC

What do you think of the song choices? As always you can let me know your thoughts over on the social networks or right here in the comments section. No prizes quite yet but the competition will be kicking off next week once the spoilers start to roll in.

We’re heading into Strictly season so traffic to this site, and therefore my costs will soon start to sky rocket. In 2021 I spent over £3k in hosting costs to keep this site up at peak times which is a ludicrous amount at the best of times never mind during a cost of living crisis! If you want to help me out with these costs with a one time donation you can do so using THIS LINK or the button below. Please only do so if you can afford to do so especially during this cost of living crisis and there is no obligation on anyone to help me out this way.

Or why not join the crew on patreon? Patreon subscribers gain exclusive access to the results of the exit poll each week. The earliest indication as to how the public vote has gone providing a possible spoiler hours before any other source as soon as The BBC vote closes each week. Plus the spoiler will be shared to patreon subscribers free of other monetisation in an ad free form! All for less than the price of a coffee each month!

Or support me for free and earn yourselves cashback on your everyday shopping towards your mobile phone bills. Sign up to Airtime Rewards using promo code 6T7W9L6X, link your credit/debit card and any time you shop at participating retailers you will automatically earn cash back which can be credited towards your mobile phone bill on most major UK networks

Strictly Come Dancing 2021 – Week 1 Discussion/Poll

It’s everyone’s favourite time of the year. Here we are at the start of 13 glorious weeks of dancing. This is the first proper time we will have seen our class of 2021 on the dance floor.

But who has a long happy series ahead of them and who is in danger of landing in next week’s dance off. You can let me know your thoughts about that or anything else to do with tonight’s show in the comments or over on Facebook or Twitter. Each time you get involved in the discussion you earn an entry into this year’s competition where one person will win £500 in Amazon UK vouchers. But only if they are brave enough to turn down the regular weekly prize on offer. Full details of this years competition and how to get involved can be found here.

I will be opening a poll right here once everyone has danced so watch out for that. As always you’ll be able to pick 3 favourites.

This poll is no longer accepting votes

Week 1 - Who would have got your vote (select up to 3)

My costs are soon going to sky rocket and last year hosting was costing me well over £500 a month. You can help me out with these costs by making a one time donation using THIS LINK or the button below. Please only do so if you can afford to do so and there is no obligation on anyone to help me out this way.

Or join the crew on Patreon. For less than the price of a coffee a month you gain access to the spoiler in an ad free form and also will gain access to the results of the exit poll providing the earliest indication as to how the dance off has gone each week minutes after The BBC vote closes and hours before the spoiler or any other spoiler source. I’ll be providing Patreon subscribers with a “what if” exit poll result to show who would have been in danger if there had been an elimination this week.

Or you can support me and earn yourselves £50 in the bargain by checking your energy prices and switching to Octopus Energy. Octopus have cheap green renewable energy, are a Which recommended supplier and are routinely cheaper than the energy price cap that many suppliers set their prices based on. The energy market is in turmoil at the moment with prices sky rocketing and the energy price cap due to rise by about £150 so this is a really good time to check you are on the best deal and lock in the best deal you can before the winter.

This website may have some downtime at some point next week whilst I move the hosting over to new high powered servers ready for you to get your spoiler fix but it should be kept to a minimum

Strictly Come Dancing 2020 – Week 1 Discussion/Poll

FINALLY!!!!!! A month later than normal but we are finally here! It’s Week 1 of Strictly and our first chance to see the 12 couples taking part this series taking to the floor. Whilst there’s no elimination this week and therefore no spoiler because the BBC don’t feel I’ve lost enough earnings yet this year there will still be much to discuss.

But who was worth the wait and who should have waited even longer? You can let me know your thoughts about that or anything to do with tonight’s show right here in the comments or by heading over to Facebook or Twitter.

Sadly there’s no prizes for getting involved in the discussion this series due to the pandemic and the earlier mentioned loss of income but if last week was anything to go by there’s still going to be lots of discussions in the community. You can read more about the way the pandemic is affecting the operation of this website over on my FAQ post.

As always a poll will open right here once all the couples have danced so you can let me know who your favourites were. You may not see the results straight away after you have voted due to me testing a system ready for next week for reasons covered in the FAQ but I will open the results up later tonight or tomorrow. Also depending on if you act like a robot you may be challenged to prove you are human as last week robots attempted to sabotage my poll.

This poll is no longer accepting votes

Strictly 2020 Week 1 - Who are your favourites? (choose up to 3)

It’s been a tough year for all of us but providing this site is still going to cost me close to £1000 this series. I always stress this on the donation links but it is more important than ever in 2020 that you only consider helping me out with these costs if you can afford to do so. I would not want to cause anyone else hardship because they chose to help me out. However all donations are as ever gratefully received. You can make a one time donation by clicking on THIS LINK or using the button below:

Also new for 2020 you can make a regular donation by becoming a patreon. Donations on patreon start at just the price of a coffee a month and if the patreon page takes off I can start looking at patreon exclusive content/rewards.

There’s also ways you can help me out for free and even make some money yourself by doing so. One way I’ve been plugging on social media a lot these last few weeks is by checking your energy prices and earning yourselves £50 in the bargain by switching using my magic link (you must complete the switch using the link and not just get a quote which you come back to later). Octopus energy have 100% green electricity, are a Which recommended supplier and were one of the few suppliers to maintain a full telephone service during the pandemic. They’re a different supplier to the one I was recommending last series and are definitely worth a look as we head into the colder months.

Switching energy suppliers is quick (it takes about 2 minutes to sign up from my link and usually about 3 weeks for the process to complete), there is no interruption to your energy supply, no engineers have to visit and you don’t need to change you meters (unless you sign up to a smart tariff and don’t have a compatible meter). I get £50 from every switch so this does help me out quite a bit.

Alternatively you can help me out by doing things as simple as liking all my content, sharing it and getting involved in the discussions on the social networks. This all helps to increase my visibility and get me noticed on those networks and is also appreciated!

The site will be going down at some point next week while I move it to the cluster solution I use to keep the site up when it’s getting over 900k views in 24 hours so if you can’t access it don’t worry it will be back!
