The BBC have today announced that Strictly will not be including same sex couples during the 2018 series.

It’s a topic that comes up every series and I thought it was time to run a poll on the subject.

So do you think the BBC should include same sex couples in Strictly? Let me know your thoughts by voting in the poll or over on the social networks.

It’s expected that the BBC will begin announcing the contestants for 2018 in the coming week or so, keep your browser pointed here or follow me on the social networks to get the latest news as and when I get it. Poll of the week has been absent for the last 4 weeks but its back now. Truthfully if I continue doing polls on a weekly basis I’m going to run out of things to poll the community about so polls may not appear on a weekly basis but I’ll try and make them fairly regular still.

Anyway on to this week and as many of you are aware Dancing On Ice ran their final last weekend but although the judges commented on each of the finalists routines they did not provide any scores.

Time for another weekly poll and this week we are focusing on the judges. But before that we need the results from last week’s poll. Last week I asked you who your champion of champions was. 859 of you voted in that poll and I can reveal that clear winners with 31% of the vote were Jay and Aliona. Coming 2nd, 3rd and 4th (or as the BBC would call them – runners up) were respectively Harry and Aliona (10%), Kara and Artem (9%) and Mark and Karen (8%)
