Strictly Come Dancing 2019 – Week 8 Songs/Dances

Blackpool is so close that they can smell it but before they hit the magic that is the tower ballroom first our 8 remaining couples have one more hurdle to get past. The BBC have just revealed details of who who be dancing to what in order to earn a ticket on the coach to Blackpool and I can reveal that………

  • Emma and Anton: Couple’s Choice: Theatre/Jazz to Right Now by The Pussycat Dolls
  • Michelle and Giovanni: American Smooth to I Just Want To Make Love To You by Etta James

  • Chris and Karen: Tango to Survivor by 2wei
  • Karim and Amy: Viennese Waltz to Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran
  • Kelvin and Oti: Salsa to Let’s Hear It For the Boy by Deniece Williams
  • Mike and Katya: Paso Doble to Tamacun by Rodrigo y Gabriela

Viscountess Emma Weymouth Eliminated From Strictly Come Dancing 2019

As revealed in last night’s Strictly Spoiler, Viscountess Emma and Aljaž have been eliminated after losing in the dance off to Mike and Katya.

Will Bayley Withdraws From Strictly Come Dancing 2019

Following the knee injury that Will sustained in Halloween Week it has just been announced that Will and Janette will be withdrawing from the competition.

Speaking to the BBC Will had this to say: “I’m gutted my Strictly journey has had to come to an end. I’ve loved being part of the show, and am so grateful for the phenomenal support we have received. I want to say a special thank you to Janette for believing in me and giving me the confidence to believe in myself. The things we achieved, from our Couple’s Choice dance through to the lifts in our Salsa, will stay with me forever. I’ve had the time of my life.”

Janette had this to add: “Absolutely devastated that Will and I will not be able to continue dancing. We made some incredible memories that I will never forget, and I am pleased to have shared them with such an inspirational person, whom I can now call a friend for life.”

No details on how this will affect the remainder of the competition have been announced however it is expected that we will have a 3 couple final like when Will Young withdrew a few years ago.
