Strictly Come Dancing 2017 Finalists – Joe and Katya

It’s time for the first part in my four part series where I take a look at each of the 4 finalists and their Strictly journey so far. Taking them in the order they qualified for the final we start with Joe and Katya

Best Dance

Joe and Katya’s best dance of the series came in week 10 where their quickstep scored 38 (9,9,10,10)

Worst Dance

You have to travel all the way back to the distant past of week 2 for their worst routine. Their tango to Castle On The Hill scored just 22 points (5,6,5,6)

Average Score

Joe and Katya have amassed a total of 413 points across 13 routines this series. Weighting their score to account for Bruno’s absence in week 5 this makes for an average of 32.5

Number of times in the Dance Off

Joe and Katya are the only couple this series to have never faced a dance off this series

Odds of winning

At the moment Coral have Joe and Katya down as 8/11 odds on favourites to lift the glitterball on Saturday.

Can they do it? Over 50% of you guys want them to but my polls haven’t always predicted the correct results before otherwise Danny and Oti would have won in 2016. One thing is for certain this final is currently Joe and Katya’s to lose especially as they clearly have the public backing to keep them out of the dance off throughout the entire series.

What do you think of Joe and Katya? Are you supporting them? Let me know in the comments or over on Facebook or Twitter for your chance to win prizes in the final week of the Strictly Spoiler competition.

Don’t forget you can still vote in this week’s poll and tell me who your champions are

Strictly Come Dancing 2017 – Week 12 Discussion/Poll

The final is almost upon us but before they can think about the glitterball there is one more hurdle to navigate, the semi final!

Who deserves a place in next week’s final? And who should be so cruelly left behind after getting so close? You can let me know your thoughts on that or anything else to do with tonight’s show right here at the home of the Strictly Spoiler in the comments section below (only appears on single posts and not the home pages)

Or why not join the massive communities on Facebook or Twitter and let me and the rest of the community know your thoughts on those networks.

Each time you join the discussion you earn an entry to win one of 3 Amazon UK vouchers I have to give away each and every week. I’m still behind with the prize draws for various reasons I’ve already covered but I will catch up by the end of the series!

As always (besides last week) a poll will open right here as soon as all the couples have performed both their dances. This week I’m asking who you want to win the glitterball next weekend. You can pick just one winner!

The site has moved web hosts once again this week, hopefully to a solution that should be in theory unbreakable but I’m sure someone will find a way ?. You can read more about the latest site move here. So far the new hosting has cost me £27 and thats before you guys place it under heavy load tonight.

If you want to (and can afford to) help out with the ever increasing hosting costs or just want to buy me a pint as a thanks for all the spoilers, the donation button is still open below (however paypal take a cut out of all donations using the button) or you can use this link which sends all the money to me. Please only do this if you can afford to do so and do not feel any obligation whatsoever to do so.

Finally please take a couple of minutes to read my annual thank you post where I talk about this series of Strictly and thank those who have contributed to another successful year for the Strictly Spoiler

Spoiler is expected some time around or after 10pm however with two routines each to get through tonight there could be some variation on this. Best thing to if you want to be alerted the second the spoiler comes in is to follow me on Twitter or like The Strictly Spoiler on Facebook as alerts are sent to both those networks as soon as I have the spoiler.

Strictly Come Dancing 2017 – Week 11 Discussion/Poll

There’s a two for one on spoilers this week as not only will the regular elimination spoiler be coming in later tonight but I’ve also got the spoiler all the newspapers are talking about, but refusing to publish because they don’t want to be struck off the BBC’s christmas card list, and that is The Christmas Special Spoiler

But back onto this week and it’s not only the quarter final of Strictly Come Dancing 2017 but its also time for our annual trip to the musicals with the 6 remaining couples all dancing to routines inspired by the musicals. But who was a west end smash? And who flopped?

You can let me know your thoughts about anything to do with tonight’s show right here in the comments section below (comments only show on single posts and not the homepage – click the title of the post if you are on the homepage to go to the single post)

Or head on over to Facebook or Twitter to join the discussion on those social networks (twitter users tag @davejthorp and include #StrictlySpoiler in your tweets)

Each time you join the discussion you earn entries into the competition to win one of three £20 amazon uk vouchers I have to give away each and every week!

On the subject of which at some point this weekend I will have SIX winners to tell you about as due to other commitments and a site move I didn’t get around to doing last weeks draw. These winners will more than likely be announced on the elimination post tomorrow.

Sorry no poll this week as it’s causing issues with the caching software being used to try and increase server performance at peak times

Spoiler as always will be incoming some time around 10:30pm. To try and combat the site outages that have plagued the site the last few weeks at peak times, the site has this week been moved to a new host who claims to be able to cope with 300 million page views a month but let’s maybe not test that too thoroughly just in case ?. Especially as due to some compatibility issues and time constraints in resolving them I haven’t got a CDN deployed at the moment to take the strain off my server so all load will be on my new server tonight. About 2 of you will have understood that last sentence I’m sure ?

Thanks to everyone who donated money to help fund this site move (or who just wanted to buy me a pint). If you want to help out the site with its current or future hosting costs or simply want to thank me for all the spoilers you can donate using the button below which paypal take a cut from or THIS LINK which paypal don’t take a cut from
