Strictly Come Dancing 2017 Finalists – Joe and Katya

It’s time for the first part in my four part series where I take a look at each of the 4 finalists and their Strictly journey so far. Taking them in the order they qualified for the final we start with Joe and Katya

Best Dance

Joe and Katya’s best dance of the series came in week 10 where their quickstep scored 38 (9,9,10,10)

Worst Dance

You have to travel all the way back to the distant past of week 2 for their worst routine. Their tango to Castle On The Hill scored just 22 points (5,6,5,6)

Average Score

Joe and Katya have amassed a total of 413 points across 13 routines this series. Weighting their score to account for Bruno’s absence in week 5 this makes for an average of 32.5

Number of times in the Dance Off

Joe and Katya are the only couple this series to have never faced a dance off this series

Odds of winning

At the moment Coral have Joe and Katya down as 8/11 odds on favourites to lift the glitterball on Saturday.

Can they do it? Over 50% of you guys want them to but my polls haven’t always predicted the correct results before otherwise Danny and Oti would have won in 2016. One thing is for certain this final is currently Joe and Katya’s to lose especially as they clearly have the public backing to keep them out of the dance off throughout the entire series.

What do you think of Joe and Katya? Are you supporting them? Let me know in the comments or over on Facebook or Twitter for your chance to win prizes in the final week of the Strictly Spoiler competition.

Don’t forget you can still vote in this week’s poll and tell me who your champions are

I’m pleased to report that barring a slight blip at 21:30 last night, that I quickly responded and adapted the hosting to, THE WEBSITE STAYED UP AT PEAK TIMES!!!! It took me 4 weeks, two site moves but I got there. Thanks to everyone who helped out towards my increased hosting costs. The site this last week has cost me about £50 to host and this month so far I’ve spent about £200 and without help from you guys it wouldn’t have been possible. If you want to help out with next years hosting, or just want to buy me a pint for all my hard work over this series you can use the button below which paypal will take a cut from or THIS LINK which will send all the money to me

Don’t forget to vote in this week’s poll and tell me who your series winners are. You can select just one option

Finally stay tuned in the upcoming week as I’ll be giving you my review of the finalists’ Strictly journey so far in the coming days and I might even get some prize draws done as well for the competition!

Strictly Come Dancing 2017 – Week 12 Songs/Dances

Little bit later as I had to make sure the site had moved across to another new host (more on that soon) before I could post this but the BBC last night revealed the 2 routines each of the semi finalists will be performing. And they are…..

  • Alexandra and Gorka are performing a Salsa to Finally by Cece Peniston and a Viennese Waltz to Tina Arena’s version of R.E.M’s Everybody Hurts
  • Debbie and Giovanni are dancing a Foxtrot to Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and a Jive to I’m So Excited by the Pointer Sisters
  • Joe and Katya are performing an American Smooth to Have You Met Miss Jones? By Robbie Williams and the Argentine Tango to Human by Rag n’ Bone Man
  • Gemma and Aljaž are dancing the Rumba to Beneath Your Beautiful by Labrinth featuring Emeli Sandé and a Tango to My Sharona by The Knack (Royal Blood cover)
  • Mollie and AJ are Waltzing to Angel by Sarah McLachlan and performing a Samba to Whenever, Wherever by Shakira

What do you think of the songs/dances? You can let me know your thoughts on that right here in the comments section or over on Facebook/Twitter.

You can also vote in this week’s belated poll and tell me who you would like to see in the final. You can pick 4 options

Donations are still open to help out with my hosting costs. If you’re reading this post you’re reading it on my new hosting solution (more on that soon) which is the most radical site move this site has undertaken (and somehow I got it done in two days). Or you could just buy me a pint. The button below paypal will take a cut from but if you use this link instead they’ll send me all the money
